King Danjong of Boy_관풍헌 子規樓 ─ 觀風軒

영월지역에서 살아온 대부분의 사람들은 단종과 비슷한 나이가 되면 자신과 단종임금을 동일시 해보았다고 한다. 이 작업은 단종이 그 당시 ‘소년’이었다는 점에 초점을 맞춘 것이다. 17세의 단종임금 모습을 그린 민화를 참고하여 영월지역 소년 중 단종을 선정. 유배지를 중심으로 단종이 머물렀던 공간에서 촬영했다. 이는 과거 단종의 모습이 또래의 소년을 통하여 투영됨으로써 단종을 표현한 것이다. 이 작업을 통해 단종에 대한 재해석이 가능하길 기대한다.
Artist Statement
Most People who have being lived in Yeongwol would be try identifying oneself with the Danjong of a boy when they be a similar age like him.
This work is focused on the boy, King Danjong. By Choosing a boy among the boys crowd at a similar age who live in Yeongwol. By focusing on exile, I have photographed the space where the King Danjong had stayed.
And It is an image that is expressed the apperance of the Boy Danjong by reflecting in the apperance of a boy of a similar age.
Through this work, I look forward to reinterpreting in a new way about the King Danjong.
